Another year, another heaving line-up with Come Together 2010 set to
be bigger, badder and better than before. Fresh off Triple
J’s one Night Stand, WA four-piece Gyroscope take the trip over
the Nullabor returning to Come Together on the Saturday. Breaking out
in 2008 with the massive ‘Breed Obsession’, Gyroscope have
toured relentlessly since, only taking time out to put the finishing
touches on their shiny new album ‘Cohesion’.
Joining them on Saturday, one of Australia’s undisputed heavyweight touring acts The Butterfly Effect, punk
(and boat) rocking faves Frenzal Rhomb, Philadelphia’s The Loved
Ones (US) make their first trip down under together with punk rock
royalty Strung Out (US). Progressive hardcore upstarts House Vs
Hurricane will also be certain starters to get
the joint jumping. MM9, Toe To Toe, Deeznuts, Heroes for Hire, Jericco, Cirlce Pit, Twelve Foot Ninja, Betty Airs
and Chaingang round out the Saturday…for now.
The Come Together DJ stage on Saturday will see Trash DJ’s throwing down their biggest hits to knockout mid week trouble makers Hot Damn.
With Trash DJ’s holding down one of Syd city’s longest
running alternative music nights Club Blink, and Hot Damn fronting
it’s own personal battle against Friday’s regularly leaving
a trail of empty wallets, hangovers and general carnage, this might get
a little crazy.
Sunday sees Lismore’s finest, the ARIA award winning festival
regulars, Grinspoon leading the charge. Erupting onto scene
winning Triple J’s inaugural Unearthed competition, Grinners
haven’t gone anywhere since. With their sixth album
‘Six to Midnight’ doing the rounds, Grinspoon are set to
remind the Come Together faithful why they are one of Australia’s
much loved acts.
Sunday also sees the indie kings and queens strut their stuff led by
British India with material from their latest album
‘Avalanche’, indie punk popsters Kisschasy, Triple J darling Bertie Blackman, Oz
hip-hop’s current heroes Horrowshow, Mr "so hot right now" himself Jonathan Boulet and rising rockers Calling
All Cars all taking centre stage. Dead Letter Circus, The
Jezabels, Boy & Bear, Ernest Ellis, The Snowdroppers and Last Dinosaurs, Parades and Deep Sea Arcade make for a super Sunday, and with more acts up our sleeve, you best
start getting it together for Come Together!
Come Together DJ stage on Sunday also sees the party starting reputations of PASH going head to head with the ever expanding Sosueme
crew. With hard forged legacies earned in blood sweat and beers, these
two noted collectives are set to bring their big bags of musical tricks
and treats to Come Together where the biggest winner on the day will
be….the p.a.r.t.e.e.e.
